MINEOLA — The Muslim Coalition of New York, the Jewish Community Relations Council, the National Action Network, and other organizations joined together at the New York State Supreme Court to explain their worry for what has been considered “Punish a Muslim Day.” Initially, a letter circulated in the United Kingdom encouraging violent acts against those who practice the Islamic faith. Some of the actions included bombing mosques and killing civilians, and a fear of those events happening migrated to the U.S.

There have been reports that Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams said that security has been increased in New York amid fears of the anti-Muslim rhetoric.
