Former Upper Room Christian School math and science teacher Gerry White is accused of touching a 9-year-old child at a Huntington Station supermarket, according to officials.
Police say on March 13, the 45-year-old teacher followed a mom and her 3 kids into a C-Town Supermarket where he allegedly used vulgar language before touching the woman's 9-year-old daughter's leg and upper thigh.
Following an investigation, police arrested White on Sunday in his Wheatley Heights home and charged him with unlawfully dealing with a child.
White runs a child education business called EZPZ Solutions and was teaching math and science for over a year at the Upper Room Christian School in Dix Hills.
The school's headmaster Dr. Gregory Eck sent FiOS1 News a statement on these accusations against the teacher, saying: "Upper Room Christian School has chosen to terminate our relationship with Mr. White and his company EZPZ Solutions, effective immediately."
The headmaster added that the 9-year-old victim is not a student at the school.
School staff said White never showed any signs of inappropriate behavior towards students when he taught at the school.
