Police in Nassau County are looking for a man who beat up a gas station worker several months ago — and the brutal attack was caught on camera.

It happened at the Applegreen gas station on Peninsula Boulevard in Hempstead on Jan. 8.

This beating was so severe that the clerk in the video quit shortly after the attack happened back in January. He wound up with a fractured skull and had to be taken to the hospital.

The video shows a man tossing the clerk like a rag doll in a back hallway of the gas station's convenience store, before punching him several times in the face.

According to Nassau County police, the whole thing happened after the worker asked the customer to show his ID to use a credit card.

Police say a woman was with the attacker and watched the whole thing.

The suspect is described as an African-American man, who was wearing a red winter hat, a black jacket and tan pants. He left with the woman in a dark blue Nissan Xterra.
