Westchester hosts 20th anniversary of Ecuadorian Heritage Festival

Croton Point Park offers authentic Ecuadorian food, clothing and music with spectacular Hudson River view

The Ecuadorian Civic Committee works countless hours to organize the Ecuadorian Heritage Festival every single year.

The committee was founded so that Ecuadorian Americans living in Westchester County can unite and preserve their culture and traditions.

Current president of the Civic Committee Jorge Merchan says the event has grown much bigger than he could imagine.

“The celebration started off to promote the culture and not lose it,” Merchan says. “It's really important to promote the food, music, and just the traditions to move on."

Check out the Westchester County Parks website for a complete list of cultural celebrations happening this summer.
