Astorino receives endorsement from Westchester PBA

The union says Astorino has consistently shown a commitment to law enforcement

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino received a major endorsement from the Westchester County Police Department Police Benevolent Association on Thursday.

Officials from the union, which represents more than 265 county police officers, sergeants, detectives and captains, say Astorino has consistently shown a commitment to law enforcement.

"Without resources, we can't get the job done," said PBA President Michael Hagan. "We have men and women that go out and do the job every day and do what they are asked to do, but they need resources."

Astorino, who is seeking his third term in office, has also received an endorsement from more than 20 Union affiliates of the building and construction trades council of Westchester and Putnam.

His challenger, State Senator George Latimer, has received endorsements from the National Organization for Women of Westchester, the CSEA (Region 3) and Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic.
