Bronxville is calling for public input on how to put the village back on the map for small business real estate.

In a recent column, Mayor Mary Marvin says the business environment is growing ever more competitive these days with people focusing their attention to online shopping.

As well as choosing convenience over the community by shopping at big-box national retail brands instead of small businesses.

The mayor wants the village to consider more parking, incentives for business owners, better advertising and better leasing options to help put Bronxville back on the map as a destination for shoppers and businesses.

Bronxville's mayor also wants to look into state regulations and penalties for landlords who perpetually keep storefronts empty and don't make efforts to really bring in new business tenants.
