Fliers promoting white supremacist group found on WCC campus

School officials say the fliers were swiftly removed and that the school has 'zero tolerance for hate groups and violence'

Several fliers advertising for the white supremacist group Identity Europa were found on bulletin boards across Westchester Community College, leaving students in shock.

"It's weird to think that it's around here, you know? It's right under your nose," said Tim O'Brien, a student at WCC.

The group tweeted out several pictures of the fliers on Sunday. According to their Twitter page, the group also posted similar fliers at New York University in New York City.

School officials say they took swift action once the fliers were found. In a statement to FiOS1 News, a spokesman for Westchester Community College said: "As an educational institution promoting a safe and supportive environment, Westchester Community College has zero tolerance for hate groups and violence. College bulletin boards are reserved for pre-approved fliers. Per college policy, these fliers have been removed."
