Honor students give back at the Food Bank for Westchester

Group helped package thousands of boxes of pasta for people in need

It is community service day for the students of Berkeley College.

A group from the school’s honors program spent the afternoon giving back at the Food Bank for Westchester in Elmsford.

They converted 1,200 pounds of pasta into thousands of two-pound bags to be shipped to food banks, soup kitchens and shelters across Westchester County.

Volunteers who spoke with FiOS1 News with say they feel great about being able to give back to people in need.
