Election Day: Volunteers pull out all the stops, supporting Latimer

Voting is open Nov. 7 until 9 p.m.

WHITE PLAINS — Volunteers worked hard at the Democratic headquarters on Tuesday, making calls to voters in support of Westchester County Executive Democratic candidate George Latimer.

Many volunteers are going door to door, making sure people are voting and offering rides for those unable to get to the polls.

“That’s what we've done in Hastings, in Mt. Kisco and Mamaroneck. We'll go down to Mt. Vernon a little later today; we've got offices everywhere. And just to let the folks know they've given blood, sweat and tears in, frankly, a way I've never seen in a local race. And I may be a beneficiary of it, but it’s really a statement of Westchester sort of waking up in a way that I've never seen in a local election year,” says Latimer.

Polls are open Tuesday until 9 p.m.
