Indivisible Westchester celebrates George Latimer, County Executive victory

Latimer says balancing the county's $1.8B budget is at the top of his to-do list

TUCKAHOE — Indivisible Westchester a grassroots organization for progressive Democrats, in Westchester, threw a victory party for Westchester County Executive-elect George Latimer.

"We started this movement because we thought the best way to bring change to America was to take back this country one county at a time and our county, Westchester County was the first place to start," says Indivisible Westchester co-founder Shannon Powell.

During the celebration, Latimer discussed the success of Democrats statewide and said that after the election of President Donald Trump, the people of New York voted for change on Nov. 7.
