Gov. Cuomo: Zero tolerance for impaired driving

Officials crack down reckless, impaired driving amid Super Bowl events

HASTINGS ON HUDSON — Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the New York State police and local law enforcement will crack down any reckless or impaired driving related to the super bowl.

Cuomo released a statement saying quote: "If you will be drinking, don't get behind the wheel. New York has zero tolerance for impaired driving.”

According to the national traffic safety administration, in the year 2016 close to 11,000 people nationwide were killed in alcohol-impaired crashes.
