Sleepy Hollow man arrested after police find $36K worth of drugs, cash

Suspect is charged with 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance


SLEEPY HOLLOW — Police officers from Sleepy Hollow and Greenburgh joined forces to raid an apartment, finding $40,000 worth of drugs and cash in it.

Members of the Sleepy Hollow Police Department and Greenburgh Police Drug and Alcohol Task Force arrested Ascencion Jimenez, 37, in his sixth-floor apartment on Valley Street.

Jimenez was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities seized nearly $12,000 in cash, 538 bags of heroin, 432 oxycodone prescription pain pills, 94 doses of Suboxone and a half-pound of marijuana.

Jimenez was arraigned and sent to the Westchester County Jail without bail. His next court appearance is Monday, Nov. 20.
