Ahead of elections, assemblyman endorses Cynthia Nixon for governor

Abinanti: 'She will make New York work for all of us'

TARRYTOWN — Assemblyman Tom Abinanti endorsed Cynthia Nixon for governor on Friday while the candidate spoke with residents at the Greenburgh Health Center fair and in Tarrytown about ideas for transportation throughout the state. Abinanti said he supports Nixon because he says she truly understands New Yorkers.

"Every day, she walks and talks with average New Yorkers," he said. "She gets it."

Nixon says that once she is in office, she will push for Roe v. Wade to be a New York law, she will work to reduce gun violence, and she wants to promote special education across the state.
