Slam Dunk Tournament: Section 1 players face off at famous arena for final time

The 2018 Section 1 championship game will be moved to a different court for financial reasons

WHITE PLAINS — Over a dozen high school basketball teams are going head-to-head during the 19th Annual Slam Dunk Tournament at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

For some of these players, dribbling on the same court that the Westchester County Knicks play on is a dream come true. But for the high school students who make it to Section 1 of the 2018 championship in February, they’ll have to play on another court since Section 1 decided to move the game to Pace University's Goldstein Center for financial reasons.
