In a battle of defending Sectional Champions, the 3-time defending Section 1 Class C Champion Pleasantville Panthers improving to 9 and 1 on the season with a 16 to 11 win and holding off a 4th quarter charge over the 2-time defending Section 1 Class A Champion Lakeland/Panas Rebels (3-7) at Pleasantville High School in Pleasantville, New York. Pleasantville, who moved to and is in first place in Section 1 Class D this season, was led by Fairfield-bound senior attack Brian Reda, who had 5 goals and 1 assist. Jake Coleman also contributed for the Panthers with 2 goals and 3 assists. Lakeland/Panas was led by senior JoJo Janavey, who tallied 2 goals.

Both teams next play on Saturday, April 28th vs out of region opponents. Pleasantville takes on Long Island boys lacrosse power, Shoreham-Wading River, while Lakeland/Panas takes on upstate power Niskayuna.
