Santa lifts spirits for families at White Plains Hospital

Parents, infants in neonatal intensive care unit get a holly, jolly visit from St. Nick

There has been an early Santa-sighting five days before Christmas in Weschester County, where St. Nicolas has been visiting with patients at White Plains Hospital. The plump man in the red suit took time out of his busy schedule this morning to visit with families and babies in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Families like the Robinsons spend endless hours in the NICU because their children need specialized medical attention. So, Santa’s visit is a nice way to provide relief from the stress. Just two days ago, Nadine and Sheldon Robinson's first-born son, Ethan, came four weeks premature, and he's been fighting ever since.

Nadine and Sheldon say they have all the faith in White Plains' NICU staff that they will have their son home soon.
