Sen. Carlucci to meet with lawmakers to discuss power crisis

Hundreds of frustrated residents called the officials to complain about Con Edison’s response time

BRIARCLIFF MANOR — After receiving hundreds of complaints from residents, state Sen. David Carlucci is calling Con Edison's communication with customers unacceptable. Hundreds from his district called the senator’s office upset and wanting answers after being without power for nearly a week.

"We hear that they are calling Con Edison and they are getting an automated message," Sen. Calucci said.

FiOS1 News reached out to Con Edison to get an estimate on when all power would be restored. They could not answer that but did say their focus right now is on the thousands who lost power during the first nor'easter last Friday

In Briarcliff Manor, Sen. Carlucci says he's getting ready to meet with other lawmakers Friday to discuss the power crisis.

"We need to make sure that we are working as quickly as possible to get people up and running again with power,” Carlucci said.
