Westchester organization provides home comforts to veterans in need

My Brother Vinny provides donated furnishings, clothing and food

Share

YORKTOWN – A local Westchester organization is providing essential needs to veterans this holiday season.

The Yorktown organization My Brother Vinny is providing veterans with comfort as it helps them in finding and furnishing new homes.

Storage facility representatives from the organization provide veterans with donated bedroom, kitchen and living room furniture. They also provide clothing, housewares and food.

The organization was founded on the grounds that veterans needed assistance to get their lives on track. Especially those who are without full-time jobs or family support and wait months on end to receive aid from the government.

These veterans are referred to My Brother Vinny by Veteran's Affairs and other organizations.

The organization has helped over 500 veterans in Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties.

My Brother Vinny accepts both donations and financial contributions year round.
