ORANGEBURGH – The woman caught on tape accused of a racist rant on a Rockland bus failed to appear at her first court appearance. Anne Marie Messiano, 57, was arrested on July 5 after being accused of disorderly conduct, criminal obstruction of breathing, and aggravated harassment.

Messiano was arrested after she allegedly went on a racist rant while riding transport of Rockland bus 235, the moment caught on cell phone video by a fellow passenger. In the video it seems as though Messiano verbally attacked other passengers using racial slurs, yelling that immigrants need to go back to their own country.

The judge said if she misses her next appearance on July 31, there will be a warrant out for her arrest.

“Get the [expletive] out of my country, I can say whatever the [expletive] I want,” Messiano said. “I love all you illegal immigrants; you do wonders for our country.”

Police said Messiano was arrested at the corner of Route 303 and 340.
