Briarcliff Manor has earned the top spot on one website’s list of “The Most Boring Places in New York.”

The North Carolina based-website Road Snacks says it uses statistical data to tabulate its list: percent of population over the age of 30, percent of married households, average resident age, percent of households with people over 65 and population density.

Almost 60 percent of Briarcliff Manor is married, and the average resident age is 44.

"I think Briarcliff is a great place to live: wonderful people, small village, doesn't compare with other villages that have multiple stores, but still, it's not boring," said resident Chick Axelrod. He’s lived in Briarcliff Manor for 35 years and says he doesn’t play on leaving anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Rich Corsetti agrees with the ranking.

“I think it’s probably pretty spot-on because there’s like nothing here. You know, this is it. There’s one strip. Everyone comes in, gets what they want, gets out of here,” Corsetti said. “They’re all up in the woods.”

Rye Brook ranks as the website’s No. 2 most boring place, Irvington is No. 3 and Croton-on-Hudson takes the fourth spot.
