Music therapy at United Hebrew is used to aid seniors struggling with issues like dementia

The United Hebrew nursing home in New Rochelle is using music therapy to help patients struggling with mental issues, such as dementia. With each session lasting roughly 40 minutes, residents do not just listen to music, but play and sing along as well.

Doctors at the facility say the therapy tends to ease restlessness, improve mood and even increases appetite.
