New York Liberty prepare to kick off WNBA season

The team will be playing home games at the Westchester County Center for the first time

WHITE PLAINS — 2018 will be a season of first for the New York Liberty, as the team will play 15 of their 17 homes games at the Westchester County Center.

The team, which has finished with at least 20 wins or more in the last three seasons (the WNBA season is 34 games long), has had trouble replicating their postseason success in the regular season. But this year, under new head coach and WNBA all-time leading scorer Katie Smith, the team is looking to compete for a championship.
