Residents on Bush Avenue woke up to gunshots and a car slamming into a tree.

Police closed off the street and went door to door to notify neighbors like Adam Gomez.

"He asked if I was leaving said that we can't move our cars and then I asked what happened he said 'a car accident',” Gomez recalled. “That's the most I got. I'm not sure what's going on, but it looks a little more serious than a car accident."

Mike McCarville’s car was parked next to the three that the driver slammed into. He says that the driver may have been shot.

"We've only been here three years, but this is the first time that we've had trouble like this," said McCarville.

Around 10 a.m., police opened the street on Bush Avenue to allow McCarville to survey the damage to his car.

"It doesn't look too bad,” added McCarville. “I'm going to have it towed and take a look at it at my mechanic."

The investigation into Friday’s incident is continuing in the meantime.
