Yonkers introduces medication 'Drop Box Program' for seniors

The program will allow seniors to drop off their unwanted medications at senior centers on certain days

Seniors in Yonkers now have any easy way to get rid of their expired or unwanted medications.

It's part of the city's new medication "Drop Box Program" being introduced by Mayor Mike Spano and Westchester County Legislator David Tubiolo.

Mayor Spano is kicking off the program this afternoon at 'Coyne Park Community Center' in Yonkers.

Through the initiative, seniors can drop off their medications at senior centers on certain days throughout the year. Today is the first drop-off day.
