The New York Yankees have kicked off their annual "Hope Week" as the players and coaches honor those who deserve recognition.

Bronx Bombers’ catcher Brian McCann and outfield Brett Gardner were in New Rochelle Monday to honor 14-year-old Jake Gallin, the founder of Stars for Cars project, which raises awareness and money for veterans.

Jake will throw out the first pitch at Monday night’s Yankees game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
