Police investigating after man beaten, then run over and killed in Mt. Vernon

Witnesses say they saw two men attack Tremaine Williams, before the victim was run over by a SUV

Police in Mount Vernon say that Tremaine Williams, a man in his 40's, died after being beaten and then run over with a SUV on Tuesday morning.

The manager of a nearby auto shop told FiOS1 News that his surveillance camera captured the incident, saying it nauseated him. The witness said that he saw two men beat Williams up, and then when Williams tried to get help, a red SUV waited at an intersection for him before running him down and speeding away down 3rd street.

Neighbors described Williams as a family man, who worked as a Dean at a school in the Bronx and transported special needs children around on the weekends.

At this time, police do not have any suspects in custody.
