Election Day: Residents in Rockland head to polls in the race for county executive

GOP Incumbent Ed Day is competing against Democratic challenger Maureen Porette

NEW CITY — Voters have been casting their ballots at various polling sites throughout Rockland this Election Day in the race for county executive.

Incumbent and Republican Ed Day voted at St. Augustine Parish Center. He'd like a second term serving the residents of Rockland.

Day has been exchanging jabs on the campaign trail with his Democratic opponent Maureen Porette.

The political outsider is a practicing attorney and mother of eight.

Polling locations across Rockland are open until 9 p.m. tonight.
