Westchester County Police were at the White Plains Library Friday to inform new Alzheimer’s’ disease patient caregivers about the "Project Lifesaver” program.

Under the countywide initiative, a person diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia wears an electronic bracelet that police can track down in the event of the patient wandering away.

Since the program began, police have rescued eight seniors.
