Weather alert: Winter storm warning issued for Lower Hudson Valley

Forecast shows reduced visibility and hazardous conditions for Thursday morning’s commute

Much of the Hudson Valley is under a winter weather advisory as a winter storm makes its way up the eastern seaboard of the United States.

Some of the steadiest, most intense snow should take place between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches in Ulster and Orange counties, while 3 to 6 inches are expected in Dutchess, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester counties.
