Astorino, Latimer talk immigration, guns and Indian Point in first debate

The candidates for Westchester Executive will debate again on Tuesday, October 24

WHITE PLAINS — The two candidates for Westchester County Executive held their first debate on Tuesday night.

Rob Astorino and George Latimer discussed several topics during the debate, including immigration, the county's gun show, and the closure of the Indian Point nuclear power plant, but the conversation repeatedly returned to the subject of taxes.

Astorino said that he has not raised taxes during his two terms in office, and does not plan on doing so, but Latimer accused as Astorino of lying.

The candidates will debate again on Tuesday, October 24 on FiOS1 News.
