More than 750 people in Yorktown Heights walked for two miles to help people in their community get the healthcare they need.

The "Northwell Health Walk at Westchester" kicked off Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at Franklin D. Roosevelt Park.

People raised money to support local cancer programs at Northern Westchester Hospital and Phelps Hospital.

“It’s an important event because it brings everyone together; people from all walks of life,” said Whitney Wasserman of the Northern Westchester Hospital.

The walk has raised more than $82,000 and is just one of four walks Northwell Health hosted across New York today.
