Christie administration issues permit to Harmony Foundation to grow medical marijuana in NJ

Facility will be the 6th marijuana dispensary in the state

Share

This week the Christie administration issued a permit to the Harmony Foundation, granting them permission to grow medical marijuana.

Once it gets approval from the state, they’re expected to serve 4,000 patients a month with a variety of medicinal cannabis. It will be the sixth marijuana dispensary in New Jersey.

"Severely ill people could really benefit from medical marijuana," says Susan Hogan, a Secaucus resident.

More than 13,000 patients are registered to purchase medical marijuana in New Jersey.

Before the facility can sell to medical marijuana patients, their crop must be tested by the state.

That's expected to happen later this year.
