Popular Jersey City bar prepares for its last call

After being in operation for 70 years, Brazicki's Tavern is closing its doors for the final time Sunday

After seven decades of service, Brazicki's Tavern in Jersey City is set to close its doors for the final time on Sunday, September 3.

Run by the Brazicki family, the bar has been a staple of the community ever since it opened in 1945. The family ran toy drives, helped with local sports, and the bar became a community hub.

But, when Thomas Brazicki passed away in 2016, the family decided to sell the bar so his widow, Julia, could be financially set for the remainder of her life.
