Former Garden State governor honored for his work in fight against substance abuse

Former New Jersey governor, James Florio, received the Partnership for a Drug-Free NJ Founders award. It was presented to him by the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey Organization for his work.

That program, The Drugs Don't Work in NJ, now works under partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey. The award presentation took on a greater importance as stunning reports emerge.

The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey foundation focuses on helping businesses create drug-free workplace.

A seminar is also being held to help employers accomplish just that. The organization's director says the first step is being informed.

Experts also say it is key for anyone fighting substance abuse to have access to outpatient resources, such as counseling and rehab.
