JERSEY CITY — On Wednesday, the city council approved spending $9 million on traffic safety projects. The investment comes after Mayor Steven Fulop signed an executive order earlier this year, adopting the Vision Zero initiative to reduce fatalities or serious injuries involving road traffic.

In addition to the $9 million, the council also approved an additional $1 million to create dedicated lanes and streets for buses and or bicycles.
