JERSEY CITY — Church officials are investigating two New Jersey priests accused of sexual misconduct. One of those priests was affiliated with Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and the other with St. Andrews Church in Westwood. Both men have been removed from service at their parishes.

NorthJersey.com reports Rev. Gerard Sudol, who worked at the Jersey City church, had been cleared of other allegations in the past. But a new accuser has reportedly come forward, leading to his removal. The online paper also says Rev. Jim Weiner at St. Andrews Church in Westwood was also removed after an investigation against him was reopened because of new information that had surfaced. The Archdiocese of Newark is leading the investigation and had the two men leave their positions until it's over.

One of the accusers is also a priest in the Diocese of Albany. He is planning a demonstration against church sexual abuses on Wednesday at 1 p.m. outside of Newark’s Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
