NEWARK — The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is working hard to make sure families in need have a Thanksgiving.

The largest anti-hunger food distribution service in the state distributed 3,000 meals to agencies in Newark.

“At the food bank, it's our job and our mission to make sure no child, no one is ever insecure," says Community Food Bank, Director of Agency Relations Julienne Cherry.

The Community FoodBank in Hillside packed and loaded trucks and vans with 3,000 turkeys, roasters and holiday boxes for people in Newark.

The food will be delivered to 26 churches and organizations, helping feed families.
