The Quinnipiac Poll shows Guadagno trailing Murphy by 12 points

FORKED RIVER — Republican candidate for governor, Kim Guadagno, is traveling all over New Jersey in the hopes of garnering enough votes to replace Republican Gov. Chris Christie.

Guadagno, who has worked alongside Gov. Christie for nearly eight years, stopped in Forked River to give a final pitch to voters about why they should elect her over her Democratic challenger, Phil Murphy.

The latest Quinnipiac Poll has her trailing by nearly 12 points ahead of the election.

Guadagno tells FiOS1 News that issues like taxes and her millionaire opponent’s failure to relate to the average person in New Jersey are enough to push her over the edge of victory on Election Day.

She is expected to cast her vote in Monmouth Beach on Tuesday. Afterwards, she will head to Aberdeen where she will wait for the election results.
