Dentist hosts royal wedding viewing party

Patients get treated to ‘the taste of England’

BUTLER – Pediatric Dentist Dr. Jason Rosenfeld decided to surprise his patients on Saturday by transforming his patient waiting room into a royal wedding viewing party, filling it with British decorations. Patients had the opportunity to get dressed up and even enjoy pastries made by the office's manager Amanda Whitten who happens to be from England.

"Having grown up in England, in Midlands, we usually would have for breakfast tea and biscuits. We have a selection of chocolate covered digestives and shortbread, things that all English children love. We just wanted to be able to share with our patients a little taste of England," Whitten said.

"When they walk in they are going to have a lavish buffet fit for the queen and the Duchess of Sussex. We have a beautiful photo booth with props, and a lot British regalia, cheers, and fun," Community Outreach Coordinator Jamie Kreitman said.

Despite the party, patients will have their regular dental services available.

"Yes they still are getting a regular checkup, and cleanings, and everything we do on a typical Saturday, but we just wanted to share this moment," Rosenfeld said.

Rosenfeld was proud his office could be part of history.

“We just thought it was fun. And we are very proud of Prince Harry and Meghan and this is part of history," Rosenfeld said.
