Monmouth County ventures into mobile recovery with Hope One truck

Truck offers resources for those battling addiction

ASBURY PARK — Hope One Monmouth County is New Jersey's second mobile recovery truck, fighting the opioid crisis one community at a time and standing for drug prevention and education. Along with peer counselors and recovery clinicians, Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden unveiled the truck in Asbury Park on Tuesday.

"We have certified clinicians here, we have medical oversight, we have technicians that will teach family members about Narcan, Narcan kits if they need them, and any of the other available services for recovery. Short-term and long-term recovery services will all be out of this truck as we go in and out of communities," the sheriff said.

The schedule for Monmouth County's Hope One truck is still being determined, but the service will be out in the community starting on Wednesday.
