Man admits to robbing over a dozen hotels in NJ, NY

Tremone Burnett, 46, pleads guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit robbery

WOODBRIDGE - Police say that Tremone Burnett, 46, of orange, has admitted to robbing 14 hotels across New Jersey and New York.

Burnett pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and threaten physical violence, and using a firearm during a violent crime. According to authorities, Burnett would tie up the hands and feet of victims during some of the robberies and on one occasion, fired a handgun while in the act.

Prosecutors say that Burnett could face up to 20 years in prison on the robbery charges and another 10 years to life behind bars for firing the weapon.
