Power finally returns to Oak Ridge neighborhood ahead of looming winter storm

Residents on Heather Hills Drive say they're glad to have the lights back on in time for Wednesday's expected snowfall

OAK RIDGE — It has been a rough period for a group of residents on Heather Hills Drive, who spent the last five days without power after last week's nor'easter.

But now, the lights are back on, and just in time too, as yet another major snowstorm looms over the region. Residents say that they're not quite ready to put away the generators they've been living off of for the last few days, as they prepare for more snow.

"I have the snowblower fueled up and just have everything up to par in the house. Hope for the best," said Don Swidrak.
