Wyckoff officials push to change utility providers

The Township Committee is reportedly pushing to switch electricity provider from Orange & Rockland to PSE&G

WYCKOFF — After residents were left int he dark for days following the March 7 nor'easter, the Wyckoff Township Committee is reportedly pushing to switch the community from receiving electricity from Orange & Rockland to PSE&G.

According to NorthJersey.com, the committee is citing inadequate communication and a delay in deploying crews as reasons why they are looking to switch.

The move has gotten a mixed reception among residents, some of whom say Orange & Rockland did the best it could in difficult circumstances, while others say that PSE&G would not have been able to help during the storm either.
