Woodbridge HS organizes student walkout, honors lives lost in Parkland, Florida, shooting

Students plan to stand in solidarity with others across the nation

WOODBRIDGE — Students at Woodbridge High School are organizing a walkout for March 14. The protest is part of a national demonstration to show solidarity with a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

The school district says it will work with the students on the planned walkout. New Jersey’s 6th District congressman, Frank Pallone, also supports the students' demonstration.

"I support it. I think the schools should cooperate with the students," said Pallone.

Students will be walking out to the football field for 17 minutes at 10:00 a.m. to remember the 17 victims killed in the Parkland, Florida, shooting.
